Folks, please find following the updated list of CANWARN training sessions for this spring. The following changes and additions have been made…there is now a website to register for the session in Midhurst in Simcoe County on April 23rd provided by the County. The session in Essex County has been confirmed. It will take place on Tuesday, May 22nd in the Town of Essex at the Essex Centre Sports Complex. The session in Durham Region has been confirmed for May 3rd in Whitby. As this session is being organized by Durham Region, they have asked that it initially be open only to residents of Whitby. The registration will be opened more widely depending on the initial response. Sessions have also now been confirmed for Mallorytown, Iroquois and Kingston. The venue for the Kingston session will be confirmed shortly.

As noted in the previous training announcement, if you don’t see specific instructions on how to RSVP at the session you are interested in, please RSVP to me at As also noted in the previous announcement, please ensure to check the start time of your session. Some evening sessions begin at 6:30 PM, others at 7 PM. Some weekend sessions begin at 9 AM and others at 9:30 AM.

My thanks to those of you who have registered already, the numbers are growing at many sessions. By all accounts this is shaping up to be another successful training season for the CANWARN program. The program’s strength is in its membership and based on that, CANWARN continues to be a very vibrant program.

More details on sessions that don’t currently have a venue and more info on additional sessions will be provided in coming updates.

My thanks again to all of you for being a part of this program and for those of you who will be joining it in the coming months.
